Pidgin - Gaim 的新名字
大名鼎鼎的开源即时通讯软件 Gaim 在复活节换了新名字 Pidgin，同时启用了新官方网站 http://www.pidgin.im。至于新名字的含义，看看这里吧，我一直没找到好代理，看不到了。
Gaim 是一款 Python 开发的开源多协议即时聊天工具。它的优点很多，开源、跨平台、同时支持多帐号多协议登录、占用系统资源小等等。我这里就不多罗嗦了，想进一步了解可以去小众软件看看。
对于任何产品，尤其是已经被广泛接受、口碑较好的产品来说，改名字绝对不是好事。对于软件也是一样的，但这次 GAIM 可以说是彻底的改了改，从软件的名字，官网的域名，甚至连 SourceForge.net 上的项目都一并改掉了。具体原因官方没有详细解释，只是表明和 AOL 有关（AOL 有一款广为流传的 IM 名为 AIM），估计又是牵扯到了什么法律问题。
从 Pidgin 官网上的文章，虽然作者表达的比较含蓄，但我总感觉有点无奈的感觉。开源作者们真是很辛苦啊。

我一看到这个了，不过好像还没有新版本的下载

我已经转到KDE下kopete了，有时候受不了Gaim的粗糙~
